Mbale Bound

I felt that my first post to this blog should be something monumental and meaningful. Something that would really set the tone of what I would be writing here. However, as I began to think about how to get started, I realized a few things. First of all, I can in no way promise that these posts will all be monumental and meaningful. In fact, most will probably be updates on life and the wanderings of my mind. I tend to write as my thoughts travel and that isn't always the most proper format, but it's me. I also realized that I don't want to set one particular tone for this blog. I hope that it will be a place that I can share my adventures (good and bad, funny and serious, meaningful and trivial) with my friends and family around the world. Finally, and perhaps the most pressing realization of the evening, was that I will be leaving for Uganda in 14 days and I have many other things to tend to than sit around trying to be monumental and meaningful! So, welcome to my blog. I invite you to share in my journey as I walk in faith toward what God has planned for me in Uganda. Please keep me in your prayers as the journey begins!

Elbow!!! Did you know I love you? You are a wonderful Christian woman and a strong example to everyone around you. I think we need to have a free travel reunion in Africa... you can bring the medicines ;) I'm so thankful to know you and I will be praying for you as God uses you in Uganda, and may the Lord be with you.
